Uganda’s Center for Aging Joins Global Alliance to Champion the Elderly in Low-Income Nations
In December, 2025, The Center for Aging in Uganda was welcomed into the International Longevity Center Global Alliance (ILC-GA) as the 17th member nation. The ILC-GA coalition of member countries aims “to help societies address longevity and population aging in positive ways…through developing ideas, undertaking research and creating opportunities for debate and action.” ILC Uganda is the only member nation categorized as a “low income country” by the World Bank, and we embrace the role of modeling a successful, on-the-ground project which adds a voice on the global stage to the vast majority of the world’s older people who live in poverty.
